For Synthetic Turf Florida Is The Way To Go

By Carolyn Collins

Many factors are making it necessary to adopt artificial turf in sport pitches. Like the name suggests, this is a synthetic product manufactured in a company and transported to the site of use. When it was initially introduced, it was used almost exclusively in arenas for sport. With people discovering the benefits associated with the product, its use is spreading to commercial applications and residential lawns. When in need of synthetic turf Florida is the best location to check out.

Many people and organizations are resolving to adopting artificial turf over natural grass because there are many benefits associated with it. To begin with, the artificial version is preferred for its resilience and durability. Resilience allows for repeated use on a regular use with no need for resting time. This is contrasted from natural grass, which cannot be used for more than 3-4 days in a week with having to be given some time to rest.

Natural grass naturally needs resting time to regrow and form a lush before the field can be used for sports again. This is a shortcoming that became even more problematic as the need for durable fields that can accommodate multiple activities and teams rose. Thus, artificial grass became the only viable option, and many sports arenas have adopted it at a very high rate.

Another advantage of the artificial product comes from maintenance cost. The main maintenance activities associated with artificial product are topping infill levels, brushing the surface, and clearing debris. On the other hand, natural grass needs a lot of maintenance, which involves watering, mowing, aeration, and application of fertilizers and pesticides. For large arenas, this can be very costly and labor-intensive.

When games are held in the various sports arenas, people pay to enter and watch them. The payments provide revenue needed to pay for various activities going on around the arena. What remains after such payments goes to the owners of the arenas as profit. If the arena is used more frequently because it is installed with synthetic grass, income goes high. Revenue generated from arenas with natural turf is usually much lower in comparison to those with the synthetic product.

As a result of less maintenance needed, it costs less to maintain the product in good usable condition. There is also less associated environmental pollution besides the low maintenance costs. Since there are no pesticides and fertilizers needed, pollution is minimum if not absent. Similarly, water conservation is maximum due to a lack of irrigation needed. Water savings is of particular importance to schools, communities, and parks, which have opted to use the product heavily in their facilities.

There are safety concerns associated with the use of the product according to some research. However, further research indicates that there are no safety risks associated with synthetic grass that are not in natural grass. High quality products have been proven to be very safe for various sports under different weather and other conditions.

Extensive tests conducted by FIFA on these commodities concluded that they are very safe, just like grass. Many sports arenas promote safety and quality having FIFA Quality Turf installed. Proper condition of the product can be ensured by inspecting them regularly.
